This indenture, made the twenty fifth day of
September in the year
one thousand eight hundred and forty-six between Paul Spoffard
and Su-
san his wife of the city, county, and state of New York by John
Hengh Jun.
of Allen County State of Indiana of the first part and Henry A.
Brown of
Allen County & State of Indiana of the second part witnesseth
that the
said party of the first part in consideration of the sun of ten
hundred and
ten dollars to them duly paid before the delivery hereof have bargained
and
sold and by their presents does grant and convey to the said party
of the sec-
ond part his heirs and assigns forever all that certain tract of
land de-
scribed as follows viz.: the west half of the north west
quarter of section thir-
ty in township twenty-nine north of range fifteen east in the district
of lands
subject to sale at Fort Wayne, Indiana containing eighty acres
more or less ac-
cording to the government survey with the appurtenances and all
the estate title &
interest of the said parties of the first part therein and the
said parties of the
first part do hereby covenant and agree with the aid party of the
sec-
ond part are the lawful owners of the premises above mentioned
granted and seized
thereof in the ___ ___ and that they will warrant and defend
the above granted premises in the ___ and peaceable possession
of the
said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever.
