DEATH OF FRED HARI
THE DEATH OF MR. FRED HARI OCCURRED AT THE HOME OF HIS SON-IN-LAW, CONRAD STEFFEN, SOUTH OF FAIRBURY, ON MONDAY, DEC 13. THE DECEASED HAD BEEN ILL FOR SEVERAL MONTHS AND HIS DEATH WAS NOT UNEXPECTED.
FRED HARI WAS BORN IN GERMANY, AUG. 12 1830, BEING AGED 79 YEARS, 4 MONTHS AND 1 DAY AT TIME OF HIS DEATH. HE WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO MISS. LIZZIE TROCHSEL IN GERMANY IN APRIL 1856, AND EIGHT CHILDREN BORN TO THEM AS FOLLOWS: FRED, LIZZIE, MARY, MAGGIE, JOHN, KATIE, ROSA AND GOTTLIEB, ALL OF WHOM SURVIVE AND MOURN THE DEATH OF A KIND AND INDULGENT FATHER. MR. HARI WAS A MAN WHO HELD THE RESPECT AND ESTEEM OF ALL WHO KNEW HIM. HE WITH HIS FAMILY CAME TO AMERICA IN 1882, AND FOR A NUMBER OF YEARS HE HAS RESIDED ON THE FARM SOUTH OF FAIRBURY. HIS WIFE PASSED AWAY SOME TIME AGO AND SINCE THEN HE HAS MADE HIS HOME WITH HIS CHILDREN. THE FUNERAL SERVICES WERE HELD AT THE GERMAN APOSTOLIC CHURCH SOUTH OF TOWN THURSDAY AND WERE LARGELY ATTENDED.

HE LIVED ON A FARM TWO MILES NORTHEAST OF THE CHURCH WHERE HE SERVED FOR A NUMBER OF YEARS.

MRS. FRED HARI DIED AT HER HOME SOUTHEAST OF FAIRBURY SUNDAY NIGHT AFTER A LONG ILLNESS, AGED 71 YEARS.
THE DECEASED WAS BORN IN BERNE SWITZERLAND AND WAS THERE MARRIED AND HER CHILDREN WERE BORN THERE. MR. AND MRS. HARI CAME TO AMERICA WITH THEIR FAMILY IN 1882 AND SETTLED ON THEIR PRESENT FARM WHERE THEY HAVE SINCE RESIDED. THE BEREAVED HUSBAND AND EIGHT CHILDREN SURVIVE HER - THREE BOYS: FRED, JOHN AND GOTTLEIB, AND FIVE DAUGHTERS: MRS. LIZZIE STEFFEN, MRS. MARY LEUTHOLD, MRS. MAGGIE IFFT, MRS. KATIE STEFFEN, MRS. ROSA ROTH. MRS. HARI WAS A MOST EXCELLENT WOMAN AND HER CHRISTIAN LIFE WAS ONE WORTHY OF EMULATION. SHE WAS THE BEST OF WIVES AND THE KINDEST OF MOTHERS, AND WAS LOVED BY ALL WHO KNEW HER. SHE WAS A FAITHFUL MEMBER OF THE GERMAN APOSTOLIC CHURCH AND THE FUNERAL SERVICES WERE HELD AT THE SOUTH CHURCH TUESDAY AFTERNOON AT TWO O’CLOCK. REV. HONEGGER OFFICIATING. A LARGE CONCOURSE OF PEOPLE WERE PRESENT AT THE SERVICES, AMONG THEM BEING MR. AND MRS. O. STOLLER, GOTTLIEB STOLLER, DAVID SIEBENTHAL, MR. AND MRS. JOHN ZBINDEN, AND ABRAHAM STEINER, OF CISSNA PARK, AND A NUMBER OF OTHERS FROM GRIDLEY AND MORTON. THE BEREAVED RELATIVES HAVE THE SYMPATHY OF ALL.

FUNERAL SERVICES WERE ON TUESDAY
FRED HARI, SENIOR, ONE OF THE FINE OLD GENTLEMEN OF THE COMMUNITY, DIED SUDDENLY AT THE COUNTRY CHRISTIAN APOSTOLIC CHURCH ON SATURDAY AFTERNOON AT 1:30 O’CLOCK. DEATH AS ATTRIBUTED TO HEART FAILURE. MR. HARI HAD BEEN IN USUAL GOOD HEALTH OF LATE, HIS ONLY SICKNESS IN THE PAST YEAR BEING THE FLU LAST WINTER THAT LASTED ONLY A WEEK. SATURDAY MORNING HE HAD WORKED AS USUAL AROUND HIS HOME, HAD EVEN ASSISTED IN PUTTING A LOAD OF HAY INTO HIS BARN. IN THE AFTERNOON HE WENT OUT TO THE CHURCH WITH HUNDREDS OF OTHERS OF THE LOCALITY FOR SPECIAL SERVICES IN HONOR OF VISITING CHURCH MEMBERS, FROM OHIO. SEATED IN THE CHURCH HE SLUMPED OVER, DIED ALMOST IMMEDIATELY.
FUNERAL SERVICES WERE HELD TUESDAY, LEAVING THE HOME AT 11:30 A. M., AND AT THE CHRISTIAN APOSTOLIC CHURCH LATER. PALLBEARERS WERE: JOSEPH KUPFERSCHMID, PETE HOFBAUER, FRED KELLERHALS, FRED SINN, JOHN MARTIN AND ANDREW ALT. INTERMENT WAS IN THE CHURCH CEMETERY.

FRED HARI, SON OF FRED AND ELIZABETH TROXEL HARI, WAS BORN NEAR
FRUTIGEN, CANTON BERNE, SWITZERLAND, APRIL 5TH, 1857 AND DIED NEAR CISSNA PARK,
ILLINOIS SEPTEMBER 6, 1933, AT THE AGE OF 76 YEARS, FIVE MONTHS AND ONE DAY. IN
THE LAND OF HIS NATIVITY HE RECEIVED HIS EDUCATION AND GREW TO MANHOOD FOLLOWING
THE FARMING AND DAIRYING IN DUSTRY PROMINENT NEAR HIS HOME. AT FRUTIGEN, ON
APRIL 26, 1879, HE WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO CATHERINE OGI. TWO YEARS LATER, IN
1881, ON NOVEMBER 20, MR. AND MRS. HARI AND THEIR ONE CHILD ARRIVED IN GRIDLEY,
ILLINOIS TO START THEIR NEW-WORLD LIFE. AFTER TWO MONTHS IN GRIDLEY, THE FAMILY
MOVED TO THE FAIRBURY NEIGHBORHOOD WHERE THEY LIVED FOR 10 YEARS. AT THAT TIME,
IN 1891, THE FAMILY MOVED TO THIS LOCALITY WHERE JUST NORTH OF OLD "PITCH-IN",
THEY MOVED ON TO A FARM AND WHERE THEY CONTINUED TO RESIDE FOR 20 YEARS. IN 1911
THEY MOVED TO A FARM 2 ¾ MILES SOUTHEAST OF CISSNA PARK. IN 1926 MR. AND MRS.
HARI, HAVING DECIDED THAT THEY WERE READY TO RETIRE, MOVED TO THE HOME THEY HAD
PURCHASED IN THE SOUTHWEST PART OF TOWN. HERE THREE YEARS AGO, ON JULY 29, 1929,
MRS. HARI WAS TAKEN FROM THE HOME BY DEATH.
SURVIVING ARE TEN CHILDREN; FIVE DAUGHTERS: KATIE FELLER, LIZZIE GUDEMAN, BOTH OF NEAR CISSNA PARK, CLARA GEYER, OF CROPSEY, ILLINOIS, LYDIA STOCK, OF CISSNA PARK, AND MISS EMMA, AT HOME; ALSO FIVE SONS: SAM G., ALBERT A., FRED C., WALTER E., ELMER A., ALL OF NEAR CISSNA PARK. ONE SON, JOHN PRECEDED HIS FATHER IN DEATH. SURVIVING ALSO ARE 41 GRANDCHILDREN, FOUR SISTER: MARY LEUTHOLD, MAGGIE IFFT, BOTH OF FAIRBURY, KATIE STEFFEN AND ROSA ROTH, OF CROPSEY, AND TWO BROTHERS, GOTTLIEB, OF FAIRBURY, JOHN OF CISSNA PARK. ONE SISTER, MRS. STEFFEN IS DEAD.
MR. HARI WAS A LIFELONG MEMBER OF THE CHRISTIAN APOSOTLIC CHURCH.
2. ELIZABETH (HARI) STEFFEN 1859 - 1912
MRS. ALBERT STEFFEN
DIED AT HER HOME IN BELLE PRAIRIE TOWNSHIP TOWNSHIP MONDAY, JAN. 22, AGED 52 YEARS, 9 MONTHS AND 2 DAYS.
ELIZABETH HARI WAS BORN AT BERN, SWITZERLAND, APRIL 20, 1859. SHE CAME TO AMERICA WITH HER PARENTS ON MARCH 8, 1882, AND WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO ALBERT STEFFEN, FEB. 28, 1886. WHERE THEY HAVE SETTLED ON THE FARM THAT THEY HAVE SINCE LIVED. FOUR CHILDREN WERE BORN TO THEM, ALL OF WHOM ARE LIVING. THEY ARE ROSA, IDA, ELMER AND EMMA.
THE DECEASED WAS A LOVING AND KIND HEARTED WIFE AND MOTHER, AN EXCELLENT NEIGHBOR AND AN EARNEST CHRISTIAN WOMAN. DURING HER LIFE IN THIS LOCALITY SHE MADE MANY FRIENDS WHO MOURN HER DEATH, HER FAMILY, FOUR SISTERS AND THREE BROTHERS.
THE FUNERAL SERVICES WERE HELD AT THE SOUTH APOSTOLIC CHURCH THURSDAY AFTERNOON, AND WAS LARGELY ATTENDED. THE FAMILY HAVE THE SYMPATHY OF ALL.
INFORMATION ON THE CHILDREN OF ELIZABETH (HARI) STEFFEN
THEIR ONLY SON, ELMER, DIED WHILE SERVING DURING WORLD WAR I FROM THE SPANISH FLU.
AS FOR THE THEIR DAUGHTERS, ROSA MARRIED SAMUEL IFFT, EMMA MARRIED JAKE BAHLER AND IDA MARRIED EMIL BAHLER, WHO SERVED A MINISTER FOR THE SOUTH SIDE CHURCH AND THE FAIRBURY CHURCH. THEIR SON, ARTHUR BAHLER SERVES AS FAIRBURY ELDER TODAY.
ALBERT STEFFEN REMARRIED AFTER THE DEATH OF HIS WIFE TO ELIZABETH BROQUARD IN 1915.

HOLD SERVICES FOR 93 YEAR OLD CROPSEY RESIDENT SUNDAY
MRS. MARY LEUTHOLD PASSED AWAY LAST THURSDAY, MARCH 3, AT 8:00 P. M. AT THE HOME OF THE STEFFEN SISTERS AT CROPSEY, AT THE AGE OF 93 YEARS.
MARY (HARI) LEUTHOLD, DAUGHTER OF FREDERICK AND ELIZABETH (TROXEL) HARI, WAS BORN AUG. 1, 1861 AT BERN, SWITZERLAND. SHE CAME TO AMERICA WITH HER PARENTS IN MARCH 27, 1882, SETTLING IN THE VICINITY OF FAIRBURY.
ON MARCH 6, 1892 SHE WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO HENRY LEUTHOLD OF FORREST AND LIVED ON A FARM NORTHWEST OF FORREST UNTIL MARCH 28, 1915, WHEN MR. LEUTHOLD DIED. AFTER THAT TIME SHE LIVED IN FAIRBURY UNTIL 1945, AND SINCE MADE HER HOME WITH THE GOTTLIEB HARI AND STEFFEN FAMILIES.
SURVIVING ARE ONE BROTHER, GOTTLIEB HARI AND ONE SISTER, ROSA ROTH, BOTH OF FAIRBURY, AND 40 NIECES AND NEPHEWS.
TWO BROTHERS AND THREE SISTERS PRECEDED HER IN DEATH.
FUNERAL SERVICES WERE HELD FROM THE COOK FUNERAL HOME SUNDAY AT 12:00 AND AT `1:30 AT THE APOSTOLIC CHRISTIAN CHURCH, OF WHICH SHE WAS A MEMBER.
BURIAL WAS IN THE SOUTH APOSTOLIC CHRISTIAN CEMETERY.
4. MARGARITHA (HARI) IFFT 1864 - 1947
MRS. MARGARITHA IFFT DIED TUESDAY MORNING
MRS. MARGARITHA IFFT, WHO FOR MANY YEARS RESIDE IN THIS VICINITY, PASSED AWAY TUESDAY MORNING AT THE HOME OF HER DAUGHTER, MRS. JOE STEIDINGER, THREE MILES EAST OF FAIRBURY, IN FORREST TOWNSHIP.
MARGARITHA, DAUGHTER OF FRED AND ELIZABETH (TREXOL) HARI, WAS BORN AT FRUTIGA, SWITZERLAND, APRIL 12TH, 1864, BEING AT THE TIME OF HER DEATH 83 YEARS AND TEN DAYS OF AGE.
WHEN 18 YEARS OF AGE SHE CAME TO THE UNITED STATES AND RESIDED NEAR FAIRBURY. ON NOVEMBER 25, 1898, SHE WAS MARRIED TO JOHN GEORGE IFFT IN FAIRBURY.
THEY LIVED ON FARM UNTIL 1931, WHEN THEY MOVED TO FAIRBURY. IN RECENT YEARS THEY HAD BEEN LIVING IN THE COUNTRY WITH THEIR CHILDREN. HER HUSBAND PRECEDED HER IN DEATH JANUARY 12, 1945.
SURVIVING ARE SIX DAUGHTERS, MRS. ELI STEIDINGER, OF FAIRBURY; MISS MARGARET IFFT AND MRS. JOHN MUELLER, BOTH OF STRAWN; MRS. RUDOLPH SCHICK, OF ELGIN; MRS. LEONARD FEHR, OF ROANOKE, AND MRS. JOE STEIDINGER, FORREST; AND SIX SONS, JOHN, OF PEORIA; SAM, FRED AND GEORGE, ALL OF FAIRBURY; WILL, OF STRAWN, AND PAUL, OF FORREST; 52 GRANDCHILDREN AND FIVE GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN.
ALSO SURVIVING ARE ONE BROTHER, GOTTLIEB HARI, OF FORREST, AND THREE SISTERS, MRS. ROSA ROTH, OF FAIRBURY, AND MRS. KATHRYN STEFFEN AND MRS. MARY LEUTHOLD, BOTH OF CROPSEY.
FUNERAL SERVICES WERE HELD YESTERDAY AFTERNOON AT 1:30 O’CLOCK AT THE CHRISTIAN APOSTOLIC CHURCH AND INTERMENT WAS IN EAST GRACELAND CEMETERY.

MARGARITHA AND HER HUSBAND GEORGE IFFT LIVED ON A FARM THREE MILES SOUTHEAST OF THE SOUTH SIDE CHURCH.
GEORGE WAS ORDAINED AS MINISTER IN THAT CHURCH IN 1924 AND SERVED UNTIL THE SPRING OF 1930 WHEN HE RETIRED FROM THE FARM AND MOVED TO FAIRBURY WHERE HE CONTINUED MINISTERING. IN 1932 THEY LEFT IN THE CHURCH SPLIT.
5. JOHN JACOB HARI 1866 - 1935
DEATH CLAIMED JOHN HARI THURSDAY AT NOON
JOHN HARI, 68, LONG-TIME RESIDENT OF THIS LOCALITY, AND FOR THE PAST SEVERAL YEARS IN THE BLACKSMITH AND MACHINIST BUSINESS HERE IN CISSNA PARK, DIED AT HIS HOME IN THE EAST PART OF TOWN AT 12:07 P. M. THURSDAY NOON. HE HAD BEEN ILL WITH PNEUMONIA SINCE SATURDAY.
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD ON SUNDAY LEAVING THE HOME AT 10:30 A. M. AND LATER AT THE COUNTRY APOSTOLIC CHRISTIAN CHURCH.

JOHN JACOB HARI, SON OF FRED AND ELIZABETH (TROXEL) HARI, WAS BORN NEAR ZURICH CANTON BERNE, SWITZERLAND, APRIL 12, 1866, AND DIED IN CISSNA PARK, ILLINOIS, MARCH 14, 1935, AGED 68 YEARS, 11 MONTHS, 2 DAYS. DEATH WAS ATTRIBUTED TO PNEUMONIA, WHICH HE DEVELOPED SATURDAY NIGHT, MARCH 9, AND TO COMPLICATIONS ARISING FROM THAT DISEASE.
FUNERAL SERVICES WERE HELD SUNDAY MORNING AT THE COUNTRY APOSTOLIC CHRISTIAN CHURCH WITH THE REVS. GEO. YERGLER, OF LACROSSE, IND. AND DAVID MANGOLD, OF ROANOKE, IL. IN CHARGE. PALLBEARERS WERE: EMIL FELLER, CHAS. FRANK, PETER HODEL, ANDREW ALT, EMIL YOUNG AND FRED OBERGFEL. INTERMENT WAS IN THE CHURCH CEMETERY.

THE DECEASED LEFT SWITZERLAND IN 1882, AT THE AGE OF 16, AND EMIGRATED TO THE UNITED STATES, FOLLOWING HIS BROTHER FRED, WHO DIED HERE TWO YEARS AGO. IN THIS COUNTRY MR. HARI WORKED AT FARMING IN THE FAIRBURY LOCALITY FOR SEVERAL YEARS. IN PEORIA, JANUARY 7, 1890, HE WAS MARRIED TO ANNA KROPF AND THEY SET UP HOUSEKEEPING IN THE FAIRBURY COMMUNITY, BUT MOVED TO THIS LOCALITY THE FOLLOWING YEAR 1891, SETTLING ON THE FARM NORTHWEST OF HERE NOW KNOWN AS THE JOHN HARI PLACE. HERE MR. AND MRS. HARI RESIDED AND RAISED THEIR FAMILY.
MR. HARI GAVE UP FARMING ABOUT 10 YEARS AGO AND STARTED, SHORTLY AFTERWARD, DOING BLACKSMITH AND MACHINIST WORK HERE IN TOWN. UP UNTIL TWO YEARS AGO, WHEN THEY MOVED TO TOWN, HE DROVE BACK AND FORTH TO THE FARM EACH DAY. MR. HARI HAD EVER BEEN KNOWN AS A HARD WORKING MAN. BESIDES CARING FOR HIS BUSINESS THIS PAST YEAR, HE HAS BEEN BUILDING A HOUSE IN THE EAST PART OF TOWN FOR HIS SON, WHICH HE MANAGED TO ENTIRELY FINISH SAVE FOR THE PAINTING BEFORE HE DIED. THE SON, JOE, WILL CARRY ON THE BUSINESS.
MR. HARI IS SURVIVED BY HIS WIDOW, MRS. ANNA HARI, AND THE FOLLOWING CHILDREN: ROSE ALT, OF SOUTHEAST OF CISSNA PARK; DORA WALDER, OF NEAR CISSNA PARK; LILLIAN FOELL AND MARTHA LOHBAUER, BOTH OF ELGIN; GLADYS WINGER, OF CISSNA PARK; AND JOE C., OF CISSNA PARK. SURVIVING ALSO ARE 4 SISTERS AND ONE BROTHER: - MARY LEUTHOLD, MAGGIE IFFT, KATIE STEFFEN, ROSA ROTH AND GOT. HARI, OF NEAR CROPSEY. THERE ALSO SURVIVE 26 GRANDCHILDREN. ONE DAUGHTER, EMMA, PRECEDED HER FATHER IN DEATH.

MRS. STEFFEN, 83, DIES AT CROPSEY
MRS. CATHERINE STEFFEN, AGED 83, DIED LAST WEDNESDAY AT HER HOME IN CROPSEY. SHE HAD BEEN ILL SINCE NOVEMBER 1950. FUNERAL SERVICES WERE HELD SATURDAY AT 9:00 A. M. AT THE APOSTOLIC CHRISTIAN CHURCH IN FAIRBURY. INTERMENT WAS IN THE SOUTH APOSTOLIC CEMETERY.
MRS. STEFFEN WAS BORN MARCH 12, 1869, IN BERN, SWITZERLAND, A DAUGHTER OF FREDERICK AND ELIZABETH TROXEL HARI. SHE CAME TO THE UNITED STATES WHEN SHE WAS 13 AND LIVED WITH HER FAMILY FIRST AT FAIRBURY.
HER HUSBAND PASSED AWAY IN 1922. IN 1937 SHE MOVED TO CROPSEY. SHE IS SURVIVED BY TWO SONS, WALTER, OF FAIRBURY AND BEN, OF CROPSEY; FOUR DAUGHTERS, MISS ANNA, MISS MARY, MISS TILLIE AND MISS KATHRYN STEFFEN, ALL AT HOME; AND TWO GRANDCHILDREN, WALTER LEE AND KATHLEEN ANN STEFFEN. ALSO SURVIVING ARE TWO SISTERS, MRS. MARY LEUTOLD AND MRS. ROSA ROTH, AND A BROTHER, GOTTLIEB HARI, ALL OF FAIRBURY.
SHE WAS A MEMBER OF THE APOSTOLIC CHRISTIAN CHURCH.

CATHERINE’S HUSBAND, CONRAD STEFFEN, WAS A VERY SUCCESSFUL FARMER IN THE AREA SOUTHWEST OF THE SOUTH SIDE CHURCH.
HIS MINISTRY AT THE SOUTH CHURCH WAS A CONTINUING AVOCATION FROM HIS ORDINATION IN 1908 UNTIL HIS DEATH FROM A HEART ATTACK IN 1922.
THEIR SON, WALTER STEFFEN, WAS ALSO ORDAINED AT THE SOUTH CHURCH IN MARCH OF 1932 AFTER THE SPLIT. HE SERVED FIFTEEN YEARS ON THE PULPIT, UNTIL HE RESIGNED IN 1947.

SERVICES WERE HELD AT 10 A. M. WEDNESDAY AT THE APOSTOLIC CHRISTIAN CHURCH FOR MRS. ROSA ROTH, 94. BURIAL WAS AT THE SOUTH APOSTOLIC CHRISTIAN CEMETERY. VISITATION WAS HELD FROM 2 TO 9 P. M. TUESDAY AT THE COOK FUNERAL HOME, FAIRBURY, AND AFTER 9 A. M. ON WEDNESDAY AT THE CHURCH.
MRS. ROTH DIED AT 7 A. M. MONDAY , MAY 31, 1965, AT FAIRBURY HOSPITAL AFTER AN ILLNESS OF TWO WEEKS. SHE HAD BEEN A RESIDENT OF FAIRVIEW HAVEN REST HOME FOR TWO YEARS.
SHE WAS BORN IN BERN, SWITZERLAND, APRIL 15, 1871, A DAUGHTER OF FRED AND ELIZABETH TROXELL HARI, SHE CAME TO THE UNITED STATES WHEN SHE WAS 11 YEARS OLD. SHE MARRIED SAMUEL L. ROTH IN FAIRBURY IN 1898. THEY LIVED ON A FARM SOUTH OF HERE UNTIL 1936, WHEN THEY MOVED TO FAIRBURY.
SURVIVING ARE FIVE SONS, SAM, MORTON; JOE, PEORIA; BEN, GLENDALE, CALIF.; JOHN, FAIRBURY; HARRY, FORREST; TWO DAUGHTERS, MISS CATHERINE ROTH AND MISS ANNA ROTH, BOTH OF FAIRBURY; 14 GRANDCHILDREN AND NINE GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN. SHE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER HUSBAND, THREE DAUGHTERS, THREE BROTHERS AND FOUR SISTERS.
SHE WAS A MEMBER OF THE APOSTOLIC CHRISTIAN CHURCH.

FUNERAL SERVICES FOR GOTTLIEB HARI, 84, WILL BE HELD AT 9:30 A. M. FRIDAY AT THE RESIDENCE AND AT 10 A. M. AT THE APOSTOLIC CHRISTIAN CHURCH. BURIAL WILL BE IN SOUTH APOSTOLIC CEMETERY.
MR. HARI DIED AT FAIRBURY HOSPITAL AT 2:20 P. M. TUESDAY. HE HAD BEEN A PATIENT THERE FOR A WEEK.
HE WAS TAKEN TO THE COOK FUNERAL HOME AND THEN TO HIS RESIDENCE AT 104 E. HICKORY ST. WHERE VISITATION WAS TO HAVE BEGUN AT 4 P. M. WEDNESDAY.
HE WAS BORN MARCH 4, 1874, AT BERN, SWITZERLAND, A SON OF FREDERICK AND ELIZABETH TROXEL HARI. HE CAME TO THE UNITED STATES WITH HIS PARENTS IN MARCH OF 1882. AFTER A YEAR IN FAIRBURY THE FAMILY MOVED TO A FARM SOUTHEAST OF HERE WHERE HE RESIDED FOR 67 YEARS. HE RETIRED AND MOVED TO FAIRBURY IN 1950. HE MARRIED LENA STEFFEN, FEB. 21, 1905. SHE DIED JUNE 27, 1947.
SURVIVING ARE THREE DAUGHTERS, MRS. LYDIA SOHN, FORREST; MISS ROSA, MISS IDA, AT HOME; A SISTER, MRS. ROSA ROTH, FAIRBURY, AND THREE GRANDCHILDREN.
FOUR SISTERS AND TWO BROTHERS PRECEDED HIM IN DEATH.
HE WAS A MEMBER OF THE APOSTOLIC CHRISTIAN CHURCH.
